OKAY WOW that was a rough couple of weeks & I think this update marks a new personal record for amount of time spent on a two page spread. I swear it felt like it would never end. I will absolutely be posting posting the finished thing in page form on Twitter & Tumblr sometime soon because that was entirely too much effort not to show off more. Thank you all for your patience & kind comments over the last few weeks! I'm doing much better now.
A few announcement type things: the next update might be a bit late as well, FYI, but we should be back to weekly updates through the end of the chapter. Second, I’m mostly likely taking a few weeks’ hiatus at that point to finish getting Chapter 5 figured out, although I’d rather not go on another long break AGAIN, so I guess we’ll just see how things go. Finally, I said I wanted to crowdfund & print Volume 1 once Chapter 4 finished, but I kinda forgot how much effort goes into planning chapters. I’m going to push back the printing campaign until some point after I feel comfortable with Ch5 planning to make sure I can do both of them right. I'm currently looking at sometime early-ish next year, but I’ll keep ya’ll posted.
ALSO VERY EXCITING: SpiderForest is welcoming its new members & I'll be featuring them this week & next week. I highly recommend checking them out below as there’s some pretty great stories. I haven’t read all of them yet, but my personal favorites so far are Numb and Oh Sarilho. Numb is a sort of supernatural mystery/drama comic with some really interesting mind-bending horror later on. It’s a slow burn, which I’m not always a fan of, but I’ve really enjoyed reading it so far! Oh Sarilho is a sci-fi/action/horror/military story that includes things like characters trying to deal with grief and trauma + a gigantic thing falling from space. I think if you like broken there’s a good chance you’ll like Oh Sarilho as well.
